Hands on consultant to build the Records Management practice and direct supporting resources with expertise in records management, policy, procedure and information technology to develop scaleable practice-wide KM solutions for Am Law 200 Firms.

     Consulting with clients to design & implement RM systems and best practices.

     Evaluating existing RM policies and best practices and developing recommendations for problem resolution, enhancement, and fine tuning and presenting recommendations to clients

      Designing, documenting, implementing, deploying, and, when applicable, managing implementations of RM best practices for RM systems

     Maintaining a high level of technical expertise, industry knowledge and professional disposition.

      Mentoring personnel assigned to individual projects and within the group on best practices

     A subject matter expert capable of presenting at trade shows (LegalTech, ILTA, etc.) and CIO Roundtables and authoring articles and white papers for industry trade publications.




Requirements

Required Skills:

Our candidate will possess excellent skills in all areas of the law firm records management life cycle as well as knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA and other statutory and ethics issues.

Key Criteria:

1.         Experience (at least 3 years) consulting to large law firms on Records Management policy assessment and development as well as system implementation efforts

2.         Strong knowledge of Records Management issues facing large law firms including expertise in the management of electronic records

3.         Knowledge of the leading Records Management systems in use at large law firms, including system implementation efforts. Knowledge of products such as IRM, Legal Key and/or MDY and/or Accutrak Records Management system.

4.         CRM Certification

5.         JD preferred

6.         Understanding of the business of law firms, including risk management issues

7.         A track record of speaking and writing on law firm Records Management issues, including speaking at conferences such as ARMA and ILTA.
