TRU Staffing Partners is Speaking at PSR 2023!

Join the TRU Staffing Partners team and our expert group of panelists on Thursday, October 5 at 3:45 p.m. local time for "Small but Mighty: Maturing Privacy Operations with Fractional Staff."

This panel will explore how to manage daily privacy challenges using flexible staffing models. Institutions of all sizes are building privacy programs from scratch or attempting rapid maturation. In the current privacy skills market, that demands creative problem-solving. The 2020 pandemic accelerated the adoption of “gig economy” professionals in data privacy and protection. Currently, 35% to 55% of the privacy job marketplace are contract or fractional staff. Competition for full-time resources is higher than it has ever been. Many experienced privacy pros would rather move around as consultants rather than stay at one institution. These realities create opportunities for privacy program to customize their staffs through specialized fractional hiring. Speakers will unpack ways to supplement staffs based on business needs including budget constraints, globalization, retention, employment compliance, and the complexities around emerging labor laws.

What you will learn:

  • Real-world case studies from practitioners who have successfully scaled or rapidly matured a privacy program using contract or fractional staff augmentation.
  • How to establish differences between contractors, contract-to-hire, fractional professionals, and direct hire, and what skill sets are best available in each of those modalities.
  • How to thread the needle when you have a privacy budget but no full-time headcount approval
