With Limited Talent Pool, ALSPs Might Have Hiring Advantage Over Big 4 | Insights | TRU Staffing Partners

The velocity with which ALSPs can move the hiring process as well as their growing prestige within the legal industry could make them more of an appealing prospect for legal talent. Frank Ready reached out to TRU founder and CEO Jared Coseglia for his thoughts on the subject.

“There’s enough demand and an unequal supply. And in general I would say that the talent is lacking from a holistic perspective, which is probably why UnitedLex hired those people. Because they understand that what they are trying to do in terms of legal secondment and business transformation at a holistic level,” Coseglia said.

The large size and scope of a Big Four firm could also make it difficult to advance a top candidate quickly through the hiring process. “[ALSPs] can move the interview process faster. I mean you go interview at a Big Four … and their process for acquiring talent is so slow,” Coseglia said. He adds, “There’s never any one person who can or is willing to accelerate the process in order to show nimbleness and acquire talent.”
