TRU's 2019 Scholarship Program

NEW YORK – January 29, 2019 – TRU Staffing Partners, an award-winning search firm representing talent and opportunities in cybersecurity, e-discovery and privacy, today announced the company has partnered with ACEDS, EDT, iCONECT, IIB Council, The International Association of Privacy Professionals, Nuix, OpenText, Paraben Corporation and Relativity to offer scholarships through the 2019 TRU Staffing Partners Scholarship Program.

The program, which is designed to foster training and education for professionals in the security and legal technology industries, is in its eighth year of operation and has awarded over 120 scholarships, totalling more than $150K in free education and certification. TRU’s 2019 portfolio of partners and their certification, training and education will delve into diverse areas of discipline including mobile forensic collection, legal data analytics, project management, processing of litigation data, cyberincident response and remediation, back-end infrastructure and application domain expertise, SOC optimization skills, blockchain programming and business leadership, and technical attorney review expertise.

Applications for the scholarships are currently being accepted at The following opportunities are available:


Full scholarships, including materials, for each of the following courses:

  • Three full ACEDS full certification packages, including live training, study manual, membership to ACEDS, certification exam with one free retake
  • Two full eDiscovery Executive Certificate (eDEx) Programs


Four full scholarships, including materials, for each of the following courses:

  • Certified EDT Reviewer
  • Certified EDT Analyst


Two full scholarships each of the following courses:

  • iCONECT-XERA Web Administration Certification (Project Manager Training)
  • ICONECT-XERA Administrator Certification

IIB Council

Five full blockchain (Certified Blockchain Professional) scholarships including training and any materials required for each of the following courses:

  • C|BP (for Instructors) Training and Certification kits to candidates that meet Instructor criteria
  • C|BP (for Developers) Training and Certification kits to candidates with programming skills
  • C|BP (for Decision Makers) Training kits to candidates for a business-tech background
  • C|BP (for Policy Makers) Training kits to candidates from a legal-tech background

The International Association of Privacy Professionals

One full scholarship for the GDPR Ready Online Bundle which includes:

  • CIPP/E online training
  • CIPM online training
  • CIPP/E Certification Exam
  • CIPM Certification Exam
  • Complimentary one-year IAPP Membership

Nuix North America Inc.

One full scholarship for each of the following courses:

The 2019 application process is open today and will continue through March 1. The TRU Scholarship Advisory Board, made up of hiring managers and leaders in the space, will then review the applications anonymously, rank them and match them with the best fit offerings. The recipients will be announced on or around April 1. Education and training will be executed before the end of 2019.
