ACEDS and TRU Staffing Partners Announce Expanded Partnership

TRU Staffing Partners, a globally recognized award-winning search firm representing talent and opportunities in data privacy, cybersecurity, and e-discovery, today announced a renewed and enhanced partnership with the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS), the world’s premier e-discovery training and certification professional association and part of The BARBRI Group. After several years evangelizing continuing education and certification as well as providing occasional career webinars, ACEDS and TRU have committed to expanding their partnership with a quarterly webinar and a monthly blog.

“Our association members have continued need for information on how to continue to move their careers forward in e-discovery or adjacent areas,” shared Maribel Rivera, Senior Director of Community Relations. “Our expanded partnership with TRU will provide our members and the greater legal community with access to high-quality career guidance and job searching advice that Jared Coseglia and his expert team at TRU can provide.”

The quarterly webinar will be called “Eye on ESI” and will feature TRU founder and CEO Jared Coseglia, ACEDS President Michael Quartararo, and ACEDS Senior Director of Community Relations Maribel Rivera. Coseglia and Quartararo will review the news of the quarter, discuss the trends defining the legal technology community, provide career coaching, and answer burning questions from attendees. Attendance will be open and free to any interested parties, and all are encouraged to come with questions, as audience interaction will be supported throughout. The first installment of this series was hosted on March 22 and was attended by over 75 legal professionals and can be viewed HERE.

The blog posts will be published on ACEDS.org under the series title “TRU Trends” and will offer TRU’s observations and analysis on the month’s most important trends, biggest opportunities, and shifts in the ESI market that will affect the legal technology community. This content will be available to all, regardless of ACEDS membership status. The first blog post is available HERE; the second is available HERE.

“ACEDS is the defining certification body for e-discovery professionals and always remains relevant because they are so tapped into the community, giving and absorbing content,” says Coseglia. “These webinars and TRU’s monthly trends reports will give the ACEDS and greater legal technology community near-real-time access to TRU’s observations on the perpetually shifting landscape of talent and opportunity in e-discovery.”

ACEDS and TRU encourage interested legal technologists to follow both organizations on LinkedIn and Twitter and to subscribe to the ACEDS Blog Updates mailing list to never miss this valuable content.

There are a number of unique challenges in hiring e-discovery professionals for government positions when compared to similar positions at law firms and corporate legal departments. Some challenges faced by government hiring managers are recruiting, lower compensation, examinations, long and sometimes mystifying application processes. This roundtable discussion will explore these challenges and provide some examples and ideas to overcome them and help find future rock stars. TRU founder and CEO will join the panel discussion on July 29 at 11:30am ET. Registration is free for ILTA members and $75 for nonmembers and can be found HERE.
