High Impact Hires New CEO from the Legal Services Industry to Accelerate Growth

High Impact, a national leader in visual legal strategy, medical illustrations, 3D animations, and interactive presentations, today announced John Reikes as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 23. Following an executive search led by legal technology industry specialist TRU Staffing Partners, High Impact’s board identified Reikes as the ideal CEO to lead the business into a new era of growth and visibility. Departing CEO, Jordan Halperin, is facilitating a successful transition ahead of taking on a CEO role at a new organization.

“I am excited and honored to join High Impact,” Reikes states. “As I’ve come to know this team, I’ve been nothing short of overwhelmed by the exceptional quality of their work, their dedication to clients, and their commitment to one another. While I will, of course, be looking for ways to grow the business, I will do so with care to ensure we maintain the wonderful foundation we have in place today.”

Reikes, a legal technology and litigation support veteran, brings a track record of success in both business development and leadership roles. He began his professional journey in software development before returning to school to secure his Juris Doctor at Loyola Law School Los Angeles. After a short time practicing law, Reikes merged his tech and legal expertise to transition into e-discovery. Most recently, Reikes was the General Manager of the Disputes and Investigations business unit at Elevate, a fast-growing Alternative Legal Solutions Provider. In two and a half years of his leadership, the unit’s revenues grew five-fold, customer satisfaction ratings increased to new all-time highs, and margins improved substantially.

TRU Staffing Partners was exclusively retained to provide a candidate who achieves a standard on par with High Impact’s outstanding reputation in the industry.

“There are few leaders in the legal services space whose careers harmonize an ability to win the trust and affection of employees and stakeholders, exceed client expectations and elevate the customer experience, drive top-line revenue, and share an intense appreciation of the law. John Reikes is all of this and much more,” offers TRU founder and CEO Jared Coseglia. “I’ve had the pleasure of observing and participating in John’s career for almost a decade, and I am confident that John’s positive influence on High Impact, their clients, and the legal graphics industry at large will be felt immediately and well into the future.”

High Impact's award-winning team of legal strategists, animators, forensic experts, and physicians deliver custom legal exhibits that maximize the value of verdicts and settlements by leaving an unforgettable impact on audiences. The company specializes in legal exhibits, medical illustrations, legal animations, and interactive presentations. High Impact’s team has experience working on high-profile cases involving personal injury, motor vehicle collisions, medical malpractice, birth trauma, product liability, traumatic brain injury, environmental law, and commercial litigation. Attention privacy pros! TRU founder and CEO Jared Coseglia will moderate an all-star panel (Jutta Williams, Twitter; Zoe Philippides, Anthem Inc.; Dennis Sanchez, HP) titled "Healthcare Technology and the Increasingly Important Role of Privacy Professionals” at IAPP's PSR Conference on October 22 at 3:45pm PT.

Thrust once again into the limelight by COVID-19, the intersection of healthcare concerns, data privacy, consumer rights, and in many instances, human rights have meaningfully captured social consciousness and, in turn, captured corporate consciousness. “Alexa, remind me to take my heart medicine at 3pm.” Led by cutting-edge industry thought leaders, this panel will cover the conversation surrounding product creation that leverages healthcare and HIPAA-protected data, and its intersection with our everyday lives. From smart-home technology to the role of social media in the COVID-19 response, we will discuss proactive efforts to monetize and build trust with customers, inspired by product creators who have enticed the public with apps and goods that involve the collection and processing of data related specifically to healthcare. Join us for a deep dive into the risks and rewards of gathering, using, and wielding this data, and the precedent being set for future privacy laws.
