TRU Staffing Partners, a leading search firm representing talent and opportunities in the legal technology industry, with an emphasis on e-discovery, forensics and litigation support staffing, today announces the addition of Bowe Kurowski to its team.

Kurowski joined TRU earlier this month and is the West Coast Manager of Recruiting. In this role, Kurowski is responsible for consulting with both candidates and clients in top law firms, Fortune 1000 companies, and the e-discovery service provider community across the West Coast.

“We are thrilled to have Bowe join our team of recruiters and career management professionals,” stated Jared Coseglia, president, TRU Staffing Partners. “The e-discovery job market is hotter than ever. Having Bowe on our team will dynamically increase our ability to source and deliver the talent our West Coast clients need. His skills, expertise, experience, and knowledge are a great addition to our company and we look forward to having him work with our clients on a daily basis.”

Prior to joining TRU, Kurowski worked at firms such as Proskauer Rose LLP, Paul Hastings Janofsky Walker, Weston Benshoof LLP, White & Case LLP, and Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He currently sits on the Board of Advisors for Cal State LA’s Legal Continuing Education Program and is slated to develop curriculum and teach the first e-discovery paralegal class approved by the ABA on the West Coast in January 2012. He has extensive hands-on administrative experience with Relativity, LAW, Concordance, Ringtail, iPro, Summation, and Case Map, and is also experienced in building and expanding Practice Support departments and consulting corporate clients on best practices for e-discovery.

TRU has a deep network of relationships and brings exclusive access to candidates and job openings throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.

The U.S.’s state-by-state privacy regulation approach is creating jobs—and inefficiency.

TOP 3 Unforeseen Effects Of Increased State (Rather Than Federal) Privacy Regulation On The Privacy Job Market
  • Outside counsel will hyperextend their Data Privacy practice hiring to service the needs of corporations who cannot or do not want to keep up with privacy regulations in-house.
  • Contract staffing for privacy lawyers will balloon until federal legislation levels the playing field.
  • If and when Federal legislation does pass, the need for privacy pros may decrease due to the growing inflation of demand corporations face to stay compliant in all fifty states as well as abroad.

Contract opportunities will surge in November and December as FTEs take vacation or maternity/paternity and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) comes into effect!

TOP 3 Busiest Times for Contract Opportunities
  • Landmark legislation: When big law (CCPA, GDPR, FRCP) comes closer to taking effect, companies bolster their teams with contractors to prepare and catch up.
  • Leave: Whether it’s extended vacation or celebrating the birth of a new family member, when full time employees take time off, hiring managers augment with temporary resources.
  • Large Projects: When big cases demand bigger and potentially more sophisticated teams, contractors become the solution to fill the talent gaps.
