TRU to Speak on Multiple Panels at Relativity Fest

TRU will be speaking on multiple panels at Relativity Fest 2018: “e-Discovery Certifications: Why, Which, and in What Order,” “Relativity Certifications Overview,” “How to Perform a Cybersecurity Investigation with Relativity,” and “Bust That Career Plateau.”

TRU CEO Jared Coseglia will speak on three panels:

  • e-Discovery Certifications: Why, Which, and in What Order– Monday, October 1 at 2:20pm CST
The evolution of the legal industry over the next decade will usher in a new and hyper-focused valuation of functional domain certification that was once only granted to a traditional three-year JD. Legal professionals who may or may not be or want to join the bar are increasingly seeking certifications. These professionals are specializing in an area of expertise and validating that knowledge with certification(s) such as the CIPP US/EU for privacy, the GLEG or CISSP for security, or CEDS for those wanting to specialize in e-discovery and more. During this panel discussion, you'll get a better understanding of the legal certification ecosystem for non-software specific accreditation. Panelists will discuss Relativity certifications—which overlap many functional domain certifications with elements of e-discovery project management, information governance, security, privacy, and analytics—and also provide potential career mapping pathways to help you expand and diversify your areas of expertise
  • Relativity Certifications Overview – Tuesday, October 2 at 8:30am CST and Wednesday, October 3 at 9:00am CST
In this session, members of the Relativity certification team will walk you through the certification program, review current exam offerings and designations, and discuss the latest and greatest in Relativity certification process. You'll also learn why Relativity certifications are valuable to both individuals and businesses.
  • How to Perform a Cybersecurity Investigation with Relativity– Tuesday, October 2 at 2:20pm CST
With the increased use of SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS platforms, organizations are shoveling more data into the cloud from on-premises solutions than ever before. However, answering cloud governance and access control questions like “What data do I have?" "Where is my data stored?" and "Who has access to my data?” continues to be difficult. These questions can impede an investigation that is already challenged by decentralized logging, access rights, large volumes of data review, and the inability to physically access the environment. During this panel, we'll expose and explain alternative use cases for Relativity in the areas of cybersecurity investigation and privacy compliance, specifically as it relates to the proliferation and utilization of cloud solutions. Our panelists will share their stories about how Relativity was deployed to solve unique problems—specifically, how Relativity and Relativity Analytics were used to review and tag large volumes of PII data, generate a deliverable for counsel to notify breached victims, and automate notifications to affected parties including state and federal authorities (if required).

TRU Vice President of Recruitment and Business Development Annette Habib will speak on the Bust That Career Plateau panel on Monday, October 1 at 11:00am CST. Do you ever get that nagging feeling that there’s not much else you can do to advance your career? If so, take note that this is likely your inner voice talking: you’ve hit a career plateau! Career plateaus are a serious thing, especially if you’re young and have many years of work life ahead of you. Join a stellar panel as they share how they've kept their careers moving forward, elevated their brand, and rose above the dreaded career plateau. You will hear stories and sage advice on things that you can start doing TODAY to bust through and succeed.

TRU Tips

Having hard conversations strengthens relationships. Ghosting people sends the message that you don’t care.

TOP 3 Reasons Why Tough Conversations Lead To Stronger Relationships
  • Compromise: Difficult professional conversations where parties want different things can often lead to compromise after communication occurs. Demonstrating the ability to compromise is part of any great relationship.
  • Courage: Showing courage to address potential confrontation demonstrates strength in character and conviction.
  • Courtesy: Challenging professional conversations reflect courtesy for others’ time, effort and energy—even if it has been fruitless.

  • Has anyone in the company come from a background like mine and succeeded, and if so, how did they achieve success?.
